During
Downstairs we had to removed the dropped ceilings (two accoustical tile rooms and three rooms with drywall ceilings), sand them/prime them/paint them twice, take down moldings, number/hand sand/machine sand/repair/prime/paint them twice, repair drywall or add drywall, remove carpet, and refinish floors. Throughout the house we updated wiring and plumbing, and added HVAC. We installed new lighting throughout.

Other than the upstairs hallway we did not have to removed dropped ceilings from the second floor. We repaired plaster in three rooms and the closet and added drywall in two rooms, we painted, and removed carpet/refinished floors. The floors were particularly hard on the second floor as they had never been stained to begin with–only painted. A lot of stripping was involved to get what we wanted.
