I’ve mentioned it before that we have most of our family portraits {meaning mainly MM, hehe} lining the staircase.

I’ve gone with a theme of black mats and either black or stained wood frames to make the look cohesive.

I thought I might change it up a bit and got a canvas of our most recent family portrait {by the awesome Karen Baker} to add to the mix.

It came from Easy Canvas prints which is a part BuildASign.com, a wonderful online company that I’ve worked with before for family gifts.  The process was so simple and I was able to customize every little detail about the design.

The picture arrived and I loved it so much I decided to not frame it. I like how the canvas covers all the edges.

And it came with a nifty little hanger to boot.

Now since I’m not good at hanging things in these old plaster walls, I haven’t hung it yet. {Uhm, Dad, can you help a girl out?} But it’s going there in the empty space. It’s a perfect fit.

But for now I’m really digging it propped up on the china cabinet on the landing.
