The Day Has Come
Finally we have a tomato from our garden.
Finally.
You would think with over fifty tomato plants we would have one by now, but nope, Dad picked the first one last night and saved it for me.
I like my tomatoes thickly sliced, but it’s all about personal preference.Today MM even had one too! I think that makes her a true southern girl now that she’s had a tomato sandwich.

Yum Yum!! I have been eating fresh tomato sandwiches all week. I picked 4 off our vine tonight. Try it with a little bit of parmesan cheese on it! I’ll bring one out to you tomorrow to eat!

We ate tomato sanwiches ALL weekend here in Charleston !!!
YUM-yum ! We only have 2 pants and have had two tomatoes, so far…but they were wonderful in our sandwiches. Ellen, I live in Charleston too-on James Island !
Everyone, you have to try thick slices of tomatoes on a bed of lettuce with crumbled feta cheese sprinkled on top of the ‘maters! YUMMMMMY SALAD !
Yum and Duke’s is the best … I like a piece of lettuce too, but that looks perfect.
