MM is growing up right before my eyes.
Daily she asserts her independence in fabulous (but tear jerking) ways. Not only is she learning new words (“Clifford” was today’s new word), but she loves helping out and doing “big girl things”.
She now looks for trash on the floor, picks it up, and puts it in the nearest trash can without being asked.
She likes to feather dust the tables and blinds.
She tries to put on her own shoes. {Or doll shoes. Little tiny doll shoes. But at least she gets the idea, haha.}She’ll help you carry things around.
She still loves going #1 in her potty.
I can’t believe my little baby is becoming a “person” (you know what I mean). It amazes me how much she takes in and learns each day.
This afternoon my mom and I went to a local restaurant supply store to pick up a restaurant-style high chair for the front porch since we eat so many of our meals out there. While we were looking around we spied these tiny plastic 5 oz. glasses–smaller than the average orange juice glass at a restaurant–and knew they would be perfect for MM to learn how to drink out a big girl glass. We started our little experiment on the front porch so when we had the necessary accidents from trying out the new cup it wouldn’t be a big deal.
And sure enough, she loves ‘em. Granted, I had to fill them up a few times–our porch floor was well watered–but she got the hang of it in no time. She wouldn’t even drink out of her sippy cup tonight at dinner…nope, only a big girl cup of water would do.
My my, my baby little girl is growing up.
