Brick Walkway: Days 3 and 4

All that happened yesterday with our project was that the brick was delivered…well, most of it anyway.  Some got left at the brick yard and was brought today.  And there was much more in the yard than this picture shows!

So…let’s play ‘Where’s Waldo?’…can you spot her?

Day 4: Tuesday

Today the men who help us with all our projects at Brogdon House came and began leveling the ground and laying bricks.  It was a tough job trying to level the pavement and the dirt all the way to the road and it took them four hours of raking gravel and hand tamping the sand.

After that was finished, however, the brick laying didn’t take nearly as long–they laid all of this in 2.5 hours!

It’s exactly what we wanted.  Be still my heart!

In other news, I finished my latest tutorial, a bonnet.  I’m going to post it tomorrow evening, but here’s a sneak peek first.
