So, I didn’t mention it yesterday, but C. got home late Sunday night. He had a fabulous time on this “work” trip. He caught a 100 pound Marlin. He rode four-wheelers on a beach all day. He ate 2 pounds of lobster one night for dinner. Here he is (on the far left) with a Wahoo they caught. He is so very strong that they put him in charge of holding up the nose in this picture.
Because he got home late MM didn’t see him until Monday morning when she woke up. She was thrilled to see him as you can see. He brought her two maraca-type things that make A LOT of noise…and she liked them A LOT. All day long she walks around shaking them. And I’m starting to like them less and less.
It’s nice to have C. at home. We miss him when he’s not here at night. {I am not going to think about him moving to Birmingham in June for work. No.I.Will.Not.} Last night he played with MM, gave her a bath, played some more, and put her to bed while I was at a meeting. They have a blast together.
On an unrelated note, when I got home from work today MM had flowers waiting on me. She picked them herself from the pear tree in front of my parents’ house. Beautiful.
Also, on *another* unrelated note, do you know the scene in the cartoon version of Charlotte’s Web where Templeton is singing and eating all the food at the fair? {A fair is a veritable smorgasbord orgasbord orgasbord…} He runs all around the fair with this crazed look in his eye and eating everything in sight?
Well, that’s how I’m going to be on Saturday at the Metrolina. I’ll be running around like a crazed person oohing and aahing over every antique in sight! …and maybe buying a little too, hehe.
