Well, we’re about to wrap up MM’s first weekend on the farm during our busy season. She’s been doing well with her nap schedule (10am and 2pm, about 2-2.5 hours each…my girl, a napper) and when she’s awake she joins us outside in the giftshop. Today it was so warm (and not windy…like yesterday) that when business slowed down we put her in her walker and let her walk run around. Pictures to come of that soon, I promise.
One thing I’ve noticed is that most of her hooded coats/sweaters/vests don’t offer the best head protection. They fall off or they only cover half her head and leave her ears exposed. And for a baby who’s already had two double ear infections since September that makes me worried.
So today I dug out a green Baby Gap hooded pea coat I had stored for next year. I had bought it at a consignment sale and, even though it was the wrong size, I’d purchased it anyway because it was such a good deal. So I rolled the sleeves up and it did the trick perfectly today. And she was quite festive too–bright red pants, smocked Christmas tree shirt, Santa bow in her hair, and green pea coat.
But…I still want her to be able to wear her other coats (the ones that truly fit) this winter so recently I’ve bought two hats. One is a knit hat with double pompoms:
The other is a darling “urban” baby bonnet:

I love the double pom-pom hat…might have to be my next knitting project
Cute hats!! Every little one needs lots of hats!
I LOVE both hats…the knit one will give her more warmth as it fits closely. The urban one is just so precious.
Nat- I love the hats from Old Navy that wrap around the ears and velcro under the chin. Wish I could find a pic but hopefully you can figure out what I’m talking about. They have some cute ones with pompoms on them too- Good luck!
