Walking on Sunshine

I’ve mentioned how this past week MM has enjoyed standing with assistance.  With all this time on her feet Mother and I thought she needed a pair of “real” shoes instead of the silly ones we make her wear on very rare occasions.  

And just like her mama, her very first pair of shoes were Stride Rite.  White leather Mary Janes in a teeny tiny size 2.

She didn’t know what to think at first.  She just sat and stared at the strange heavy things on her feet for the longest time.

 Then my mom helped her to stand and with a look of pure joy she realized she could stand EVEN!BETTER!THAN!BEFORE! and that she actually liked these new shoes afterall.
